Below - A rare German map highlighting Exeter Airfield at Clyst Honiton. Flugplatz translated from German into English is Airfield. The arrow marked in red below Clyst Honiton reads 'Luftlinie ca. 8km' which translates into 'as the crow flies approx'. The Southern rail line at the top of the map would lead the enemy to Exmouth Junction railway yard which was targetted on numerous occasions.

A map showing Exeter Truppenlager which translates from German to English as 'Troop Camp'. The area marked in red as 'A' was the barracks on the Exeter By-pass near Middlemoor and 'Topsham Barracks is also shown at the top of the map left side. Again the exact date this map was created is not known but would say circa 1940-1942.

A German map of Exeter City Centre pre 1942 in preperation for the Exeter Blitz.
